Our practice specializes in Speech Sound Disorders, and Reading/Literacy. We know that finding the right person to work with your child can be a difficult task. As a parent, you want to navigate this process with your child in the smartest way possible, so that your child will come out of this feeling confident and comfortable in their speech and/or reading skills. We know that you want to find a person with whom they can trust and work towards their goals with a growth mindset.

Heather Ismay, M.S., CCC-SLP is a licensed and certified Speech-Language Pathologist. Based out of Northeast Atlanta, she provides private Speech and Language services to children in California, Utah, and Georgia. She practices in a variety of settings, including teletherapy and mobile services (homes, preschools, daycares, & private schools).

Heather specializes in the area of Speech Sound Disorders and Reading/Literacy Development. She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and is certified in Diagnosis and Treatment of CAS using Dynamic Temporal and Tactile Cueing (DTTC). She is also trained in Nanci Bell’s Visualizing & Verbalizing program for cognitive development and reading comprehension.

Heather strives to pinpoint techniques that work best for the children and families she sees, by taking into careful account her client’s individual communication goals, as well as the most recent peer-reviewed research. Heather is dedicated to providing the highest quality of care in order to achieve meaningful progress in each and every one of her clients.
